Remy was four months old when her sleep fell apart. Short naps, long nights, a bedtime that kept sliding later. Shana and I were running on almost nothing.
So we did what every tired parent does: we asked for help. We tried online sleep courses. We hired a sleep consultant. We talked to more than one doula. Every one of them gave us a different set of rules, and the rules didn't agree. Each one was a schedule for a typical baby. None of them was a plan for Remy, and nobody could tell us what to change when it didn't work.
The nap that changed it
One afternoon, Remy fell asleep on my shoulder. I didn't dare move, so I picked up my phone. I made a research plan, read what the studies actually say about wake windows, nap length, bedtime and feeding, and wrote a plan for Remy with a reason behind every number. By the time she woke up, I'd built the first version of this app.
We stopped hunting for one big fix and started making small changes we could actually see.
Small changes, right away
What surprised us was how fast small changes showed up. Her feeds got better almost right away. Not perfect, but better. The plan changed how we thought about feeding her, not just about sleep.
So we set small milestones and moved the plan forward each time one stuck, and the app moved with us. Some changes were small: when her first nap grew to almost an hour and a half and she started waking later, we cut it to 75 minutes. Some were big: we tried two naps, then went back to three the next day, because a new caregiver was starting and it was too much change at once.
Within two months, Remy was sleeping through the night. Mostly.
Now it's for your family
Remy's Plan is that process, built for any family. A short interview builds a plan for your baby. As the day happens, the app moves the rest of it, so a late nap means a later next nap and a new bedtime. Any time you ask, the coach tells you how today is going. Every day it looks at your baby's real days, suggests the next small step and explains why. You decide.
We're parents, not doctors. Remy's Plan is a planning tool, not medical advice. Please talk to your pediatrician about anything that worries you.
